Implementation Rationale
Early stage: Implemented in response to AB 386 as a platform for CSU Fully Online Program. Mid-stage: Potentially fill gap not met by ASSIST – display approved equivalencies at non-ASSIST institutions

Early stage implementation
Initial campus use limited to accessing course descriptions for institutions outside of ASSIST during admission evaluation process Required for Fully Online: Identify CSU GE/AI requirements using TES “tags” Create equivalencies with other CSU courses – based on how their courses are tagged - to provide information to SFSU students about those courses.

AO user training: TES webinars; brief video demos available at the site; manual. Guidance regarding timelines from CSU CO, and support for selected procedures. CSU AO collaborative problem-solving Learning from mistakes

Mid-stage implementation: Objectives
Use TES to capture and display articulation of courses at non-ASSIST institutions approved to meet key SFSU requirements: Admission requirements – “Golden 4” Other graduation requirements – American Institutions; 2nd year comp Key major prerequisites or bottleneck courses (Business, Nursing, Design) Course substitutions approved by faculty if suitable for articulation

Developing buy-in and awareness
Pre-public launch: form an informal advisory group. Staff from: Admissions/Transfer Credit; Advising; Registrar. Familiarize group with TES activity, objectives and next steps. Establish procedures for routing equivalency information to TES via Articulation office. Solicit feedback and buy-in. Post-public launch – how to direct users to the site; campus introduction and training.
