Numerics Mathematical Optimisation. Thesis on the usage of Neural Networks for interpolation of a blackbox function in arbitrary dimensions. Some teaching experience as tutor for mathematics for physicists and (computer)engineers.

Present PhD Student at Schlumberger Cambridge Research and the University of Cambridge Still working on getting all the basic seismology / physics theory right to be able to start working on my research topic

Future I will work on including near surface effects in full waveform inversion algorithms in exploration seismology. First I will try to develop the theory and later, applying it to data. I also will try to further improve algorithms for waveform inversion by trying to adapt methods from mathematical optimisation to seismology.
