Eps: Campus rainworks challenge

Purpose The EPA’s campus Rainworks challenge is for students to create green infrastructure for the campus to manage storm water runoff. Each team member will create a master plan and demonstration for the project plus engagement in the community. We each choose to create a retention pond for a selected area on campus Fifth annual campus challenge.

Storage Tanks Graf Underground storm water tanks - 2 x 5000L tanks
gallons stored - Filter and housing - mosquito proof - 2ft opening Plus a 100gallon overflow tank with sump pump

Pump and Piping Sump Pump installed in the over flow section of the storage tanks. When tanks are full, the water will be pumped out towards the pond. At a flow of 5,400 Gallons Per Hour. Piping from tanks are to be 6” schedule 40. Gutters will be used from the buildings to the filter in the tank.
