Technologies accommodate Methodologies
Technology in Behaviorism – multimedia flashcards, drill and practice activities. Information Processing – technology helps organize, link, chunk, assimilate, and accommodate new information. Constructivism – technology helps with problem solving, collaboration, active learning, and use of complex environments like simulations. APA Application of Technology Journal 1

Changing Roles in Education
Problem Based Learning – puts the learner in control of learning and the instructor as facilitator. Collaborative Learning – students become collaborators, interpreters communicators, and directors of learning with instructor as coach. Learning with Technology – student is the center of activity, finding solutions to complex problems; teacher is counselor. APA Changing Roles - Abstract Journal 2

Technology – Potential Contributions to learning.
Tool that reaches multiple learning styles – for communications, problem solving, collaborative work, and personal training. The Internet – with precautions, learners of all ages can click to find resources on any subject. Integrating Methods and Media
Match the tool and the method – develop programs, or change tools to accommodate several learning methods. Reach the children from their learning styles – multimedia and varied activities reach more learners from different styles. Balance Activities – not all children will do well at all activities. Evaluate Often – use various tools of evaluation and space evaluation at several intervals. APA Integrating Journal 6

Evaluation – a Cycle of Improvement
Evaluate as a guide to improvement. Instruction Pilot Test – evaluate effectiveness of lesson. Formative – make adjustments to presentation of lesson or materials. Summative – evaluate effectiveness from success of the students. Student Pretest – what they know. Embedded test – redirect in confusing areas. Post test – measures learning. APA Article Reviews Journal 7
