Introduction: Childhood obesity has become one of the major reasons for high disease rate among children’s at a very young age. Who is to be blamed for childhood obesity?

Health Problem Childhood Obesity:
The number of common health problems is rising too high in today’s world they include child obesity, hypertension, osteoporosis and high blood pressure, high cholesterol level, diabetes, heart diseases and many more follows.

Causes and associated factors:
A child becomes obese when there is an imbalance between the calories consumed by a child to maintain regular activities is consumed more in amount and is then not utilized. Children’s should not be allowed to sit and watch T.V or computer for hours as this will lead to deposition of fat in the body as while watching T.V if the child is eating that means the calories take the form of fat and gets deposited in the body.

Avoid beverages and soft drinks and junk food
Avoid beverages and soft drinks and junk food. Junk food is the enemy for children. Sometimes obesity is a genetic factor inherited by parents to child. In these cases doctors try controlling the weight of the child, they can also be targeted to many diseases like diabetes and thyroid.

Associated Health Problems:
There are many health problems related to child obesity like : diabetes at a young age thyroid high blood pressure liver problems heart problems hypertension osteoporosis high cholesterol level……etc.

Excess of fat deposited in the body interrupts in every function of the body.
We should take our child for regular check up and should always try maintaining a healthy weight.

Treatment program: go to the doctor and take serious steps regarding his obesity. set goals first until and unless we don’t set goals we will not be able to lose weight. focus on the child’s eating habits and try cutting down all the fried and junk food. Weight loss programs and diet plans should be taken from the dietician.

An important part plays is physical activity in life.
Children should be allowed to play and we should encourage them to take part in physical activities. Immediate actions should be taken regarding obesity and it should not be overlooked.

Lifestyle changes for prevention and control
To sustain a better life style we have to: eat more of nutritious food and eat a balanced diet. take initiative to take up healthy ways of living life. cut down eating high caloric food as this will prevent obesity which means eating more of green vegetables and cut down frozen food. Fatty food should be avoided and more of soups and salads should be included. Physical activities should be included a walk at least 30 mints should be included. More fruits and fresh vegetables should be taken. Fresh juices should also be included in our diet and more of water should be taken.

Conclusion In this report I have summarized all the important factors needed for living a life happily in healthy ways. We should strictly follow the diet plan for reducing obesity. Healthy life means everything for a human being. Children should be given lunch boxes form home instead of them buying from canteen and eating. Parents also play an important role in controlling child’s obesity.
