2. What are the two kinds of special right triangles?
We have a special right triangle which is formed by cutting an equilateral triangle into two congruent triangles.
We have a right triangle which is formed by cutting across the diagonal of a square.

H = hypotenuse LL = long leg (across from 60º) SL = short leg (across from 30º)

4. What are the special properties of a 30-60-90 right triangle?
H = 2(SL)
SL= ½ (H)
LL = SL( square root of 3)
SL = LL/( square root of 3)

5. What are the special properties of a 45-45-90 right triangle?
H = L ( the square root of 2 )
L = H / (the square root of 2)
L = L
