Members are our GREATEST ASSET Lions “Make Things Happen” LCIF recognised as Number 1 NGO Where there’s a need – there’s a need for a Lion (and a Lions Club) Service is the reason for our success

A Tremendous Need for:- More New Clubs More New Members More New Ideas and New Projects to shape our “Future” More Service to others and our Changing Communities

8 Why Do We Need New Clubs? History shows that we cannot depend on generic growth from existing clubs to take us forward MD201 and MD202 continue to have membership decline – not enough new clubs MD307 are growing quickly – directly linked to formation of new clubs

Use available Personnel - New Club Consultants - Other Experienced Lions within District, including Certified Guiding Lions (CGL) - GLOBAL ACTION TEAM (INCL GMT MD Team) Use available Resources - District 3 Year Membership Growth Plan - Community Needs Assessment - Invite Key Community Leaders - Modern Technology

15 When to Charter As soon as opportunity arises - Do Not Procrastinate
- Persistence Pays - When 20 New Members Inducted (including any Transfer Members) - LCI requirement (within 8 weeks of NCC Workshop) Consider a Club Branch - For small Special Interest Groups - When unable to induct Min 20 Charter Members

GLOBAL ACTION TEAM EMPOWERING CLUBS THROUGH THE POWER OF ACTION

18 GLOBAL ACTION TEAM By unifying the Global Leadership Team (GLT), Global Membership Team (GMT) and Global Service Team (GST) as the Global Action Team, we will create synergy and new opportunities for clubs to grow and serve. NEW Clubs Chartered will have full support of the GAT, and help to lead Lions into the Future

19 The POWER of SERVICE You can do more good for more people when you have some extra help. That’s where our New Clubs will “Make A Difference” The members of our New Clubs will be Passionate volunteers, Dynamic leaders providing needed Innovative service

20 The Future of our New Clubs
New Clubs will need assistance with:- - Club Administrative Procedures (Sponsoring Club, CGL, My Club My Way, Zone & District) - New and Innovative Projects that meet Community Needs, including Project Management Training ( GST) - On-going Membership Growth Initiatives (GMT) - Leadership Training, Mentoring (GLT)
