1 Swiftly we're turning life's daily pages; swiftly the hours are turning to years. How are we using God's golden moments?  Shall we reap glory?  Shall we reap tears? Millions are groping without the gospel; Quickly they'll reach eternity's night. Shall we sit idly as they rush onward?  Haste, let us hold up Christ the true light. Souls that are precious, souls that are dying, While we rejoice our sins are forgiven-- did He not also die for these lost ones?  Then let us point the way unto heaven. Into our hands the gospel is given; Into our hands is given the light. Haste, let us carry God's precious message, Guiding the erring back to the right. Ruth Johnson Carruth, 1939 (HFW #616)

2 Challenged Commissioned Compelled Compensated
The Good News We are... Challenged Commissioned Compelled Compensated

3 The Challenge of the Good News
131 million people are born each year and 55 million people die. Over 3,000 people will die in the next 30 minutes. Each one of them is a priceless soul (Ecclesiastes 12:7; Matthew 16:26) The gospel is God’s power to save souls (Romans 1:16) Who will share the good news with all of these people?

4 Commissioned to Tell the Good News
The Lord left a Great Commission; His disciples were to share the good news with the world! (Matthew 28:18-20) It is “necessary” that repentance and remission of sins be preached in the name of Christ to all nations (Luke 24:45-47) Necessity is laid upon us! (1 Corinthians 9:16; Acts 8:4).

5 We Are Compelled By the terror of the Lord & the love of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:11-21) We must have… Compassionate hearts (Luke 19:41; Romans 10:1) Eager ears to hear the Macedonian call (Acts 16:9-10) Willing feet to go (Mark 16:15) Minds and mouths filled with the gospel (Psalm 40:6-10; 71:15; 96:2)

6 We Will Be Compensated! Eternal joy over those we have brought to Christ (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20) Thankfulness that the Lord will not hold us accountable for souls that are lost (Ezekiel 3:17-19) A home in heaven because we have been faithful (Matthew 25:23; 2 Timothy 2:2)

7 Thou must save another’s soul If thou wouldest save thine own
For heaven’s doors may well be closed To those who come alone
