**THE OPENING HYMN #343 ‘AMAZING GRACE’
12
(1) Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind but now I see.
13
(2) ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed.
14
(3) The Lord has promised
good to me; His Word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures.
15
Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.
16
When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we first begun.

Read by Angel Calcorzi, Jr.
THE HOLY SCRIPTURE From Luke 2:41-52 Read by Angel Calcorzi, Jr. Every year, Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. After the festival was over, while His parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. Thinking He was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for Him among their relatives and friends.
26
When they did not find Him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for Him. After three days of searching they found Him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard Him was amazed at His understanding and His answers. When His parents finally saw Him, they were astonished. His mother said to Him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” “Why were you searching for Me?” Jesus asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in My Father’s house?
27
THIS IS THE WORD OF THE LORD.
But they did not understand what He was saying to them. Then He went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But His mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. THIS IS THE WORD OF THE LORD. THANKS BE TO GOD.

THE CLOSING HYMN #731 ‘ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS’
43
Onward, Christian soldiers, (1)
marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle see His banners go! Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before.
44
At the sign of triumph (2)
Satan’s host does flee; On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise; Christians lift your voices, loud your anthems raise. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before.
45
Like a mighty army (3) moves the church of God; Christians, we are treading where the saints have trod. We are not divided, all one body we, One in hope and doctrine, one in charity. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before.
46
Onward then, you people, (4)
join our happy throng, Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song. Glory, laud and honor unto Christ the King, This through countless ages men and angels sing. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before.
