1 Sensory Board for Adams Adventure Playground
Team 22 Project 41 TA – Sarah Brittain Faculty Advisor – Dr. John Enderle Client – Brian Schwarz Danielle Napoli Alyssa Smith Christine Wakefield Napoli, Smith, Wakefield

2 Overview The final design will be a 12 ft long, 4 ft tall and 5 in think board positioned at angles. The panels on the ends of the board will be slightly shorter so that children in wheelchairs will be able to roll underneath them and have an opportunity to enjoy all of the activities. 4 Completed work Received Braille instructions for everything (donated by MyDoorSigns) Chimes are nearly finished Have new design idea for Hand Crank Panel Memory Game is being tested on protoboard Received Outdoor Ultrasonic Sensors Programming is being re-created for Music and Create-A-Picture panels

5 Hand Crank Panel New Design
Child turns wheel (of HDPE) and it moves the minute hand of a clock It will use gears to turn minute and hour hands At each “hour” (e.g., when the minute hand is at 12 o’clock), the minute hand will hit a bell So it’s analogous to setting a watch

6 Successes Braille instructions received look great
Chimes nearly finished Memory Game works, just a few tweaks left

7 Drawbacks Still don’t have HDPE
Requested a quote, and will likely end up purchasing it Lost original code for Music and Create-A-Picture Not sure when we’re getting posts yet
