Ruler – used to measure the length of small items like a pencil
Meter stick (yard stick) – used to measure the length of medium size items like a lab table Trundle wheel – used to measure the length of large items like a field

Goggles – used to protect your eyes; must be worn when handling chemicals or glass materials
