3 Residential Education and Housing Staff Members
Resident Assistants/Community Assistants Area Coordinators Central Office Staff Members There are several staff members that are available to students that can be great resources for you. Residence Hall Directors are college graduates. They are full-time professionals who work and live in the halls. They assist RA’s in offering the best experience for students. They are knowledgeable about campus resources and can assist residents with problems or find the right campus resource to assist. Resident Assistants or RA’s are students who live on each floor or wing. They also are trained in campus resources, policy, protocol and crisis intervention. This is the first place to go when you have questions. Central Office Staff Members work in Tod Wehr Hall (Resource Fair). The central staff runs overall processes such as housing selection and placement. Majority of students move-in on Thursday, August 24 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Honors students move-in on Wednesday, August 23 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Move-in assistance: Bruess’s Brigade Start at Schneider Field. Campus Living

8 How to Select Your Roommate
1. Go the REH main webpage 2. Scroll down on the right hand side of the page and select the “Apply Now” button. 3. Login using your MySNC login which is generally the first four letters of your last name and your first and middle initial. Use the password that you set up previously.

REH assigns students in order of deposit date. Assignments are made based on application information. Mutual roommate requests Changes can still be made until Sunday, June 18th at 10:00 p.m. through your online housing account! Roommate Info

20 Do’s & Don’ts Do talk to your roommate
Do talk about which items you would like to share Do discuss things like bedtimes, cleaning, use of alarm clock, and guests Do get to know your RA for assistance Do complete a roommate agreement Don’t post hurtful things about a roommate on social media Don’t take/use your roommates personal items without permission Don’t assume they are on the same schedule Don’t disrespect your RA and campus policy

22 Maintaining a reasonable level of noise 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Quiet Hours WHAT? WHEN? 10:30pm-9am Weeknights (Sun-Thu) Midnight-9am Weekends (Fri-Sat) Keeping noise levels reduced. Sound should not be heard more than 2 doors away from source. Policies WHY? Courtesy Hours To avoid disturbing other residents and to maintain a respectful community. Maintaining a reasonable level of noise 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

23 Policies Alcohol, Drugs, & Pets Alcohol/Drugs Pets Smoking/Tobacco
National, State, and Local laws apply to all students, faculty, and staff. No pets (except fish) are allowed in the residence halls. This includes “visiting” pets! Policies Smoking/Tobacco Smoking and chewing tobacco are prohibited except within 7 feet of urns.
