6 Movement in the classroom/Sharpening pencils
The students will remain in their seats while the teacher is teaching and/or giving instructions. Once students are working independently, they will be able to move around the classroom to sharpen pencils or get tissues.

7 Labeling and turning in assignments
Students are expected to write their name and date on each assignment. When turning in assignments, students will place their assignments in the center of their group. One person will place all assignments in the basket that matches their period. If you have a missing assignment and are sure you turned it in, check the No Name basket to see if it is there.

8 Transitions/Finishing work early
Students are required to learn songs, participate and sing songs while moving during activities. At the end of each song, students will have completed given task and will be ready to move to the next set of instructions. If students finish independent work early, they are expected to take out their free reading book and read silently.

9 If you are absent It is the responsibility of the student to check their period’s file and notebook for any handouts or notes in the classroom when they return from being absent.
