The reason we ask “why me Lord?” out of gratitude today is because we might well be asking “why me Lord?” out of despair tomorrow.

Our souls can become so needy that we have to tell them what they’re hungry for. You must “feed” on God’s faithfulness from your past in order to face the uncertainty in your future. (What you’re “storing” up now will be what you live on in the future.)
