1 Trusting God with our Lives
Psalm 5 in an example of a man of faith (David) who trusted God in the face of fierce enemies. He teaches us to do the same. Psalm 5

2 Trusting God with our Lives
A morning prayer (1-3) Remember that God hears and answers prayers (1) (Psalm 4:1), “Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.” We should pray all the time! (Psalm 55:17), “Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.”

3 Trusting God with our Lives
A morning prayer (1-3) Remember God’s warning to the wicked (4-6) We must trust in God’s moral clarity (2 Corinthians 6:14),  ”Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” The righteous (unlike the wicked) can be confident when they offer up prayer to God! (1 Peter 3:10-12), For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. 11 Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

4 Trusting God with our Lives
A morning prayer (1-3) Remember God’s warning to the wicked (4-6) Find renewal in worship (7-8) God's Mercy Enables and Provides Our Worship to Him, (7) (John 4:23), “ But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” Depend upon God to know what is righteousness! (8) (Psalm 25:4-5), “Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.”

5 Trusting God with our Lives
A morning prayer (1-3) Remember God’s warning to the wicked (4-6) Find renewal in worship (7-8) God’s woes pronounced on the wicked (9-10) Because God is just He punishes the wicked! (Romans 2:5-9), “ But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek.” We must give place to God’s wrath (Romans 12:19), “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.”

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” God will Bless the Righteous (12) (Colossians 3:3-4), “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
