LIVING the LIFE Standing Up For What’s Right.

10 Standing Up For What’s Right.
LIVING the LIFE Standing Up For What’s Right. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. 13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honour the emperor. 1 Peter 2 20 Remember what I told you: “A servant is not greater than his master.” If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. John 15:20

13 Standing Up For What’s Right.
LIVING the LIFE Standing Up For What’s Right. WISDOM But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace- loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17 STRENGTH Weighing the cost, accepting the consequences Daniel 3 LOVE It’s always about the issue, not the person Romans Peter 2   INTEGRITY Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth John 3:18

14 LIVING the LIFE Growing in Faith

15 LIVING the LIFE Growing in Faith
“One of the greatest ways I can glorify God is to tell others about Him.” Fear and Failure Passion and Encouragement Growing in Faith by Exercising it. “We don’t do the saving we do the sharing.” Romans 4:20-21 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

16 LIVING the LIFE Growing in Confidence

17 LIVING the LIFE Expectations + Experience = Confidence ?
Growing in Confidence Expectations + Experience = Confidence ? Facts + Faith = Confidence Faith is still needed. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

18 LIVING the LIFE Growing in Love

19 LIVING the LIFE Growing in Love “Why grow in love?”
“now let me show you the most excellent way…Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. ” Godly self-love is so beneficial while un-Godly self-love leads to the opposite qualities of 1Cor 13. Sincerely asking the question “What do you see in me Lord?” Which helps so much to love the unlovable, intentionally seeking what is good about them and by praying for them – “it builds something.”

20 Growing in Self Control
LIVING the LIFE Growing in Self Control

21 Growing in Self Control
LIVING the LIFE Growing in Self Control How to Bomb Proof Your Family Five ‘Rules of Engagement’ Don’t compromise with the truth of God. Practice and grow in (agape) love. Prioritize your time Communicate (learn to listen) Pray!

22 LIVING the LIFE Power in Prayer

23 LIVING the LIFE Power in Prayer
“If you have left the game due to discouragement, it is so important to get back in the game!” Obedience to the Spirit’s leading even when our feelings are doing the exact opposite. Sometimes there is wonderful confirmation, at other times none whatsoever. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thess 5:16-18

24 LIVING the LIFE Living in Peace

25 “Hide His Word in your heart”
LIVING the LIFE Living in Peace  Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15 Peace in the storm. Even the storm of the first day back at work in a medical emergency. How? Thankfulness Slow Down “Hide His Word in your heart”

26 LIVING the LIFE Hearing God’s Voice

27 LIVING the LIFE Hearing God’s Voice
We need to “train our ear” to hear God’s voice. The Lord loves and encourages. He also rebukes and corrects He does not condemn. Self condemnation is not the voice of the Holy Spirit. 1 John says ‘God is Love.’ 1 Cor 13 describes what that love looks like. To learn to recognize God’s love we must STOP long enough to hear.

28 LIVING the LIFE Growing in Knowledge

29 LIVING the LIFE Growing in Knowledge
Knowledge without application is useless. Learning Extension Maths at High School. Learn, pass exam, then immediately forget! “Everything I have learned from the Father I have made known to you.” John 15 Jesus APPLIED His knowledge. Jesus SENT His disciples. Jesus calls us to BEAR FRUIT!

33 LIVING the LIFE

34 LIVING the LIFE “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last…
