2 English cuisine British cuisine and food isn´t well-known for average Czech people. British cuisine consists of substantial breakfast, afternoon tea, fast foods. In British cuisine is very popular grilled vegetables. Of vegetables British often use pea, cauliflower, carrot, bean and asparagus. English cuisine is characteristic for using sea fish and freshwater fish. Very popular is muttony meat and turkey meat.

3 English breakfast British like begining of the day with cup of coffe or tea in the morning. Typical English breakfast is oposite to our Czech breakfast richer and more substantial. English breakfast starts with a glass of fruit juice. In the morning of working day they have for breakfast only toast or corn flakes with milk or with youghurt.

4 Full English breakfast
British people have traditional breakfast only during the weekend, when they have a lot of time. Full English breakfast consists of bacon, grilled tomatoes, fried bread, sausages, eggs, fried mushrooms, black pudding, baked beans.

5 Lunch time British have lighter lunch than their typical breakfast, because their main food of the day is dinner. Lunch is serving between twelve to fourteen hours. Typical English lunch consists of sandwich with cheese, fish (frequently tuna), chicken meat or with salad. This island´s cuisine is rich for some arrangement sea fish and freshwater fish, first of all salmons and cods.

6 Sandwiches English cuisine gave this name to world cookery art.

7 Fish and chips Fish and chips is fried fish in cover. This food we can consider for English national food. It´s white fish, for example cod. It´s served with chips and with vinegar. This food we can find in all restarurants and refreshments for accaptable price

8 RECIPE – Fish and chips Technique: We cut lenhgtways all potatoes, put the on pan and dri to oil. We add salt and pepper, bake for fourty munites in oven on two houndred degrees. We peel an orange and we cut its. We mix it with peel and softly cut cucumber, with softly cut onion, wiht vinegar and with yoghurt. Add salt and pepper and put to side. Sheet metal rub to oil and put on it pieces of fish. Add salt and pepper, we drip fish to orange juice and add cumin. We put the sheet metal into the oven for twelve to fiveteens minutes as long as the fish isn´t soft. Raw materials: 600g white fish (for example cod) 3 potatoes 2 sweet potatoes 2 spoons of olive oil 1 big orange 50g cucmber 1 small red onion 1 spoon of white vinegar 3 spoons of white youghurt half teaspoon of cumin salt and pepper

9 Steak and kidney pie Steak and kidney pie is beef meat with roast kidneys in dough. This meal can´t missing on menu in none English pub. Steak and kidney pie is consider as a national English meal.

10 Afternoon tea Scones Afrernoon tea is English tradition, what is keep in English household, in tearoom and in grand hotels. It´s serve about four o´clock in the afternoon. Usually it´s serve indic tea or Sinhalese tea with milk and sugar. British usually eat small sandwiches or some cake with cream or with jam, and scones – scone is small bake with raisins, cream and with strawberry jam. They eat crisp english biscuits.

11 Puddings Yorkshire pudding Pudding is serve hot or cold.
Well-know is Chrismas pudding, what must be prepare one month before Christmas. It´s constis of breadcrumbs, milk, egg, almonds and nutmeg. We add sherry or dark bear and this all we cook in water bath. Before serve it pour over to brandy and we can light an alcohol gor biger efect. Verry interesting from english puddings is for example „spotted“ pudding with currant and raisins, plum pudding or syllabub – it´s medieval meal with double cream, white wine and citron juice. Yorkshire pudding – it´s dough from flour, milk, water, pinch of salt, pepper and a little lipid. A dough is bake in mould. Christmas pudding

12 Czech and English christmas meal
Potato salad and fried carp Roast turkey The most common meal for Chrismas Eve in our country is fish soup, fried carp and potato salad. The British Christmas meal is roast turkey with chestnut stufing, potatoes and the famous mentioned Christmas pudding.

13 Dinner english roast dinner Dinner is the main dishes of the day. It serves between seven to eight hours in the evening. Traditional English dinner has a few course dinner. Dinner strarts hors d´oeuvre – „starter“, it´s frequently soup, ofter than it´s main cours and in the end can´t missing dessert. There isn´t traditional food for the evening meal.

14 Drinks Very popular for British people are alcoholic drinks.
Alcohol can´t be serve, when the people aren´t older than eighteen years old. Children to sixteen yers old can´t go to the pub. In British pubs we can choose as many kinds draught and bottled bear. Whisky and Gin are very popular drinks for British people. Well-know make for whisky is Jack Daniels or Red Label and for gin is it Beefeater.
