Service projects Opportunities for gaining patient contact hours and relevant events on campus about medicines. Plan of action: Fulfill my roles and responsibilities (In order to better CPPAA, I would have to fulfill my roles and responsibilities and fill in the past officers’ shoes) Expand CPPAA’s networking circle Joint events with other pre-health organizations Create more volunteering opportunities (Im sure most of us are Buckley Public Service Scholars – it’s just not even about the hours. I’m sure we enjoy giving back to the community and caring for others. That’s one of the reasons why we want to be PAs, right?) – Ex: pediatric playroom, hope garden,… Social + fundraising events (good food and company!) Service projects such as blood drives, … Introduce and connect members to opportunities for gaining patient contact hours and relevant events on campus that you might be interested in.

Sonali Patel Shadowing Project Coordinator UNC ’18
Biology BS Major and Medical Anthropology Minor As an officer of CPPAA I can offer: My time and commitment to all projects New and exciting shadowing opportunities outside of UNC Hospitals Experience in shadowing PA’s in multiple different areas (Oncology, Pediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynecology) Sonali Patel Officer Election Speech: Shadowing Project Coordinator Hello, my name is Sonali Patel and I am running for Shadowing Project Coordinator for the school year. I have been a member of CPPAA for one year and I have a great passion to become a PA in the future. As Shadowing Project Coordinator, I want to be able to gain leadership as well as help others work towards their goals by assisting in providing shadowing opportunities to those aspiring to become Physician’s Assistants. I feel as though I would be a strong candidate for Shadowing Project Coordinator because through CPPAA I have shadowed Laura Blanchard at UNC’s Cancer Hospital. For those of you who attended the last meeting, Laura Blanchard was here to talk about her journey both applying and attending Campbell’s PA Program. By shadowing various different PA’s, I have been able to talk to and interact with practicing Physician’s Assistants on a different level that most people have not yet experienced. I strongly believe that through this experience and many others I would be able to adequately organize and maintain CPPPAA’s Shadowing Project. Thank you.

Biology (BS) Major Chemistry Minor Organized Hardworking ENTHUSIASTIC about CPPAA Hello CPPAA members! My name is Helen and I am so sorry that I could not attend the meeting today. I am currently taking my Orgo II Lab Final, so trust me when I say I would much rather be at this meeting. Just to tell you a little bit about myself, I am a sophomore majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry. I have been apart of CPPAA since my freshman year and I think that CPPAA has been a great resource for me to learn more about the PA profession and get involved in the community. On top of CPPAA I am also involved in some other extracurricular like CPALS and Tri-Beta, but I have wanted to become more involved since my freshman year. I am running for Secretary and I feel that I have many of the qualifications needed for this position like organization, and hard work. I know if you voted for me I would be dedicated to make this organization run as smoothly as possible to make CPPAA an even better resource. One thing I can promise if you vote for me, as secretary, is that I will make sure the s will be short and sweet and contain lots of cute puppy pictures!... Like this one *(click on the PowerPoint slide) Once again my name is Helen and please vote for me as your Secretary. Thank you for your time!
