Interesting Facts Wolves have very powerful teeth, bushy tails, and round pupils. An adult male measures up to 6.5 feet from head to tail. Wolves can weigh up to 175 pounds. Wolves always travel in packs and groups when they go hunting and searching for food. Wolves are part of the dog family.

Why Wolves Are Endangered
Wolves are hunted in Minnesota Wolves are hunted for their fur They are being hunted because gray wolves go out for prey mostly from humans. We can’t live without food so we kill the gray wolves before they eat all our food. Red wolves are also hunted for their fur and their meat When humans find a new area with living wolves, we mostly kill the wolves to take their territory and wolves belonging.

Effect Many humans kill wolves because they are eating their food supplies. With no more wolves then we will lose a certain kind of species in the world

What Can We Do To Help If you see a wolf don’t scare it or don’t hurt it You can visit a national park or a nature reserve to learn how to handle/tame a wolf If you see a wolf quickly report to a zoo keeper or the animal department to capture/tame the wolf so that the wolves population can increase instead of decrease

Some are brown, white, red, black, or gray They are not so heavy They look like dogs They are carnivores (Meat eaters) Most red wolves are inches tall, inches long (including the tail) and weigh between pounds. Most gray wolves are inches tall, inches long (not including tail) and weigh up to pounds
