1 Create an annotated bibliography.
Project Next Steps Create an annotated bibliography.

2 Annotated Bibliography
It’s a bibliography….. with annotations! Wait, what? We’ve never done a bibliography. How is that different from a Works Cited page? The almighty Google informs us that: Well thank you Google.

3 Annotations Well what in tarnation is an annotation!?

4 A+B=Annotated Bib Under each element of your bibliography you will have a paragraph of explanation that summarizes, assesses, and reflects. Two sentence summary (think abstract) How is this source valuable? Do you think you will use it in the future? How? Did you learn anything further about your subject? What did you learn about the author?

5 Example Berger, Warren. A More Beautiful Question: The Power of Inquiry to Spark Breakthrough Ideas. London: Bloomsbury, Print. This book challenges the reader to think deeply about questioning. It argues that questions are more valuable than answers and thus should be encouraged in schools as well as the work place. This source is valuable because it offers examples of how to make questioning a focus of the classroom. I will absolutely use this in the future, in fact Pelster and I used in as a reference point for unpacking the artifact boxes. I learned that students after Jr. High are typically averse to asking questions beyond simple clarification questions. They simply do not want to ask the tough ones that may not have an answer. Warren Berger is a graduate of Syracuse that interviewed a number of Harvard graduates to complete this book.

6 Assignment 5 source annotated bibliography. 1 documentary
3 articles (bonus points for scholarly journals) 1 book Add more if needed, this is not a final list of sources for your menu project.
