4 SUMMER TERM English Authors and text, Historical stories, Nonsense poems, Extending narratives and a study of Shakespearean play. Mathematics As always, we will cover each domain of the national curriculum. Maths in motion has proved to be a huge success which we will continue to include into our maths sessions. Science Reversible and Irreversible reactions: investigating observational changes and chemical changes; Light: Identify sources of light and investigate light reflection & refraction, why white light is made of many colours & the speed of light.

5 SUMMER TERM Computing Select, use and combine a variety of software to accomplish given goals, including collecting, analysing, evaluating and presenting data and information. History The topic will introduce and inform children about the rich history of Chesham and other surrounding areas. Religious Education The two big questions we will be posing and discussing this term are: Can we know what God is like? and Does it matter what we believe about Creation? Physical Education There will be two sessions each week: As the weather improves more of our PE will be outside and will include team games and athletics. Art and DT This term we will be creating a DT project which will reflect our topic on local history. Personal, Social and Health Education We will continue with this child-led initiative on ‘Save the bees’ which ‘Go-Givers Make a Difference’ initiative . In addition, Affinity Water will be helping the children to conduct a water survey in school raising their awareness of water usage and its implications. P4C Year 6 will also be debating and discussing philosophical questions under the premise of Philosophy for Children (P4C). French Recognise and say the names of common pets. To write and read texts about animals in their habitats.
