[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [3] Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4. Adam and Eve had to “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Gen 1:26-28).

5. Christ from eternity appointed as Heir
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee…I shall give thee … the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession (Ps 2:7-8)

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you (1 Peter 1:20)

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (Rom 8:17)

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him (Col. 1:16)

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth (Ps. 33:6)

30. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (1 Pet. 2:16-17)

31. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts (2 Pet. 1:19)

Christ, as heir from eternity, has received dominion over the whole creation -- physical and spiritual
