Limitations of Conventional Systems for achieving ZLD
RO PLANT Heavy Capital investment. RO Reject is generated around 40%. High operational cost and change of Membrane is required in every 2-3 years. Trained man power required for operations. MEE PLANT & CPU Very high Capex. Huge consumption of power and steam to operate. Regular CIP is required. Difficult to achieve 100% efficiency. DRYER High Capex & huge consumption of power and stream to operate.

Operations with SCALEBAN
Direct use of BMSW in cooling tower as make up water instead of fresh water. Using cooling tower as an evaporator. Low Capex. Zero Opex. Zero scale is guaranteed for 20 years in condensers and heat exchangers. Reduction in blow down from cooling tower by more than 80-90% which would be used for boiler ash cooling. No generation of process condensate, thereby no requirement of CPU.
