Key Stakeholders The National Construction Policy identifies Key Stakeholders Specialized professional groups ( planners, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers, and financial consultants) The contractors, construction material manufacturers & suppliers and construction equipment suppliers & hirers, and the craftsmen contribute in the physical facilities. The policy makers, regulators of standards, academic, testing and training organizations, professional bodies and research organizations.

NATIONAL AWARDS FOR CONSTRUCTION EXCELLANCE BY CIDA
In 2011 ICTAD launched a recognition scheme for eminent professionals in 04 basic fields namely Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying and Construction Industry in General. This goes as "Award for Eminent Professionals in the Construction Industry" and are awarded once in every three years. 2012 new schemes is the "National Green Construction Awards" which is a joint product of CIDA and Green Building Council of Sri Lanka. In this scheme several key elements of built environment such as Sustainable Site, Energy Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality and Waste Management are considered and degree of sustainability is evaluate
