9 Update on DOM Compensation Plan Review
Committee led by Dr. Alice Jacobs and comprised of representatives from all clinical sections Charge Review and propose modifications in current compensation plan Seek input from local experts and literature Distribute available resources in a manner that is fair, affordable, achievable, transparent, and aligned with departmental values and missions Recognize performance in areas that have the greatest positive impact on the department’s quality of care, financial performance, and academic missions; Incorporates performance that adversely effects quality of care and financial performance in determining compensation; Creates a shared benefit in the success of the section; Maximizes faculty compensation relative to benchmarks; Recognize the determinants of faculty productivity and the diversity of clinical and academic activities of the faculty. Report with recommendations expected late in January 2017

10 BU Benefits Update BU Fringe Rate in process of being negotiated to:
Reflect true costs of Benefits paid to FPP membership Retain current benefits structure Allow for simplification of the current Tier structure Retroactive to July 1, 2016

11 Change in Name of the Faculty Practice Plan
FPF Governance Task Force reviewed possible names Memo sent to all FPF members for input Recommendation: Boston University Medical Group Name change has been on hold due to benefits discussions with BU Should we change the name from FPF to BUMG?

13 Meeting Standards Approved at 7/12/16 FPF President’s Committee: Wherever possible, regular business meetings should be scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wherever possible, meetings held outside these hours should be scheduled by member consensus. Remote attendance should be supported for all business meetings as standard operating procedure.

14 Meeting Standards - Revised
To become an industry leader in work/life integration: Meetings should be scheduled by member consensus of at least two- thirds (2/3) of required attendees Remote attendance should be supported as standard operating procedure for all meetings using all available technology and following appropriate etiquette Meetings should start on time and conclude in time to allow ten minutes for transit, with all key business to be concluded by official end time Regular business meetings should be scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

15 Exceptions to Meeting Standards
These standards should be applied to all business meetings except in the event of a compelling reason otherwise A ‘compelling’ reason is an extenuating circumstance that takes precedence over compliance with the standards, such as Clinical utilization Urgency of meeting topic Member consensus Whenever an exception is made, the specific ‘compelling’ reason(s) should be disclosed to meeting participants
