Ken asked me to talk about two publications that I’ve worked on over the past two years. One is an article that appeared last year in Population Research and Policy Review. The second is a national academy report that focused on protecting confidentiality. They have two slightly different goals, and rather different content, and I’ll try to pick the best of both. In either case, they’re designed to help us as researchers keep my little intruder away from information that would allow him to identify people who are included in our data.
