27. Display and Presentation Guidelines 2016-17
Thank you for the display produced throughout
Following monitoring and feedback throughout Academic year 15/16 here are our guidelines and expectations and next steps for 2016/17.
Books
Ensure all topic books have a coverage page which is to be placed at the beginning of a topic/ unit produced by teacher (CPD provided by Jackie Treleaven June16). This is then to be highlighted when achieved by the children or yourself depending on age range throughout the unit.
When starting a topic a child mind map/ elicitation of what the know about the topic/unit and what they would like to know, do not worry if this is brief this demonstrates personalised learning and starting points, also demonstrates progress throughout topic.
At the end of the topic, a child reflection page to demonstrate progress over time and new knowledge.
Follow the teaching and learning guidelines for marking and feedback as usual.
This will be reviewed and monitored at the end of October 1st half term.

28. Display
Once again our next steps to enhance display in our classrooms and corridors.
After numerous complimentary statements and comments about the high standard of display I would like you to maintain the following:
• Context
• Next steps
• Names
• Year group sign if in the corridor
• A range of evidence to demonstrate a broad and balanced curriculum
• Pictorial evidence
• Process evidence
• Quality marking if appropriate
• Double mounted ( laminated if in corridors)
Will you think about what you use for backing, the displays around school that have been the most effective and commented upon are those with the natural/ topic related backing. Can I ask that you consider your display backing especially for in the corridors? If you have natural or plain backgrounds could you use a themed related paper to use as part of your double backing, again very effective.
Artefacts and objects
If you could continue to display a variety of artefacts and books related to the topics covered that would be great accompanied by questioning that demonstrates a range of levelled questions.
