This bandera was adopted in 1825 Los colores were chosen by Jose de San Martin The colors represent the Incas The llama and chicona are important symbols of Perú The cornucopia represents prosperity

8 La comida típica Una comida típica de Perú es Lomo Saltado (Sauteed Beef Tenderloin). Un postre típico de Perú es Tres Leches (Peruvian Three Milks). It is made of sliced beef stir-fried with red onions, tomatoes, yellow Peruvian chilies (aji amarillo), soy sauce, vinegar and cilantro. It is a sponge cake soaked in a special syrup made of three different types of milk.

One activity I would really enjoy doing in Peru would be visiting the Parque de la Reserva. The Parque de la Reserva has very beautiful fountains and lights, as well as music. There are some dancing fountains, laser shows, and more. One ticket to the Parque de la Reserva costs only about 2 dollars.
