Making the distinction between technical training & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
WHO should attend? Any California Community College administrator who is experienced in administration, technically prepared, and ready to move to a leadership role requiring foundational leadership skills that will inspire and transform institutions. WHEN will it be held? The program runs July 23-27, 2017 (applications being accepted online now at WHERE will it be held? Sierra College’s Roseville Campus with accommodations and some sessions at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn. Transportation will be provided between locations throughout the program (included in your fee). WHAT is the cost? Thanks to a generous grant from IEPI, ACCCA can offer this outstanding leadership experience at a discounted fee of $1,500, this year. Admin 201 is a comprehensive leadership development experience designed to offer California community college administrators with impactful instruction in leadership theory and strategic integration of leadership skills in institutional management settings.

New CEO Workshops: November, January, & June (Academy) Summer CEO Academy (roll-out June 2017) Reconvene cohorts annually at CEO Symposium Reconvene cohorts at Vineyard Symposium in 2nd - 5th year. Incorporate Continuing Education IEPI PLN programs (Drive-in/Fly-in/On-line workshops) (eg. CEO CTE Certificate) Provide Executive Coaching solution (pilot FY 16-17) Foster Networking and Mentoring (roll-out FY 17-18)

Asilomar Leadership Skills Seminar The Seminar is an intensive four-day experience that focuses on the issues facing women who have made a commitment to community college administration, either in their current position or as a future goal. Its purpose is to provide information, strategies, contacts, and opportunities for personal and professional growth Classified Leadership Institute In partnership with the California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS), the annual institute focuses on effective classified participation in participatory (shared) governance processes, both state-wide and at the local district and college levels. CCLC Annual Convention The League’s Annual Convention is the premier professional development event for California community colleges – faculty, administrators, staff and trustees. This event brings together more than 600 attendees and provides opportunities for colleagues and partners to share their tools, models and accomplishments.

TRUSTEE DEVELOPMENT CCLC Annual Trustees Conference This conference helps strengthen the skills and knowledge of trustees and CEOs to lead districts and colleges, and be accountable to their communities. Effective Trusteeship & Board Chair Workshops This annual workshop is an overview of responsibilities required for board members of California community colleges. State leaders and experienced trustees will provide comprehensive information on the knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective trustee. Student Trustees Workshop This workshop is designed to help student board members become knowledgeable, influential, education policy-makers.
