Any one can tryout for any competition! Sign up for at least one event.

Want to increase your knowledge of art and artist?
The art competition is for you. You will learn to recognize and identify various works of art.

Calculator Applications
Do you have any experience with a calculator? You will use a calculator for problem solving.

Have you ever played chess?
Chess Puzzle Have you ever played chess? This is the competition for you! You will have to determine the fewest moves to checkmate by looking at a chess board.

Dictionary Skills If you’ve used a dictionary, then you should compete in dictionary skills. You will use a dictionary to find various information about word meaning.

Editorial Writing 7th and 8th grade only
If you love to write or debate, then editorial writing is the place for you. You will use your writing skills to write a persuasive paper. 7th and 8th grade only

Impromptu Speaking 7th and 8th grade only
Do you like talking about things that have happened to you? If so, you’re perfect for Impromptu Speaking. You will use your speaking skills to deliver a speech based on a situation that has happened to you. 7th and 8th grade only

Listening If you’re a good listener or auditory learner, then you’re in the right place. You will use your listening and note taking skills to answer questions.

Are you a good navigator?
Maps, Graphs, and Charts Are you a good navigator? Try maps, graphs, and charts. You will obtain information from various, maps, graphs, and charts.

Mathematics Use your super math skills to solve problems.

Modern Oratory 7th and 8th grade only
Not afraid to speak in front of others? You’ll be great at modern oratory. You will select a topic and give a persuasive argument about that topic. 7th and 8th grade only

Are you good at solving math problems in your head?
Number Sense Are you good at solving math problems in your head? Number sense will allow you to compete with others using your super ability to solve math problems in your head.

Do you like reading stories to others?
Oral Reading Do you like reading stories to others? Use your unique voice to recite a part of a story

Ready Writing You will write an interesting original paper.

If you’re a science whiz, then try out for Science.
You will show your knowledge of science and science concepts. 7th and 8th grade only

Social Studies You will show your knowledge of history,
government, and cultures.

Spelling You will demonstrate your skills by spelling words on paper as you hear them.
