2. Slide open the battery cover and insert 6 AA alkaline batteries
Slide open the battery cover and insert 6 AA alkaline batteries. An alternate USB power source may be used if it does not exceed 5v 1 amp

3. Turn LabRadar on Set Parameters: Select Velocity Range (Rifle, Handgun, Archery)

4. Set Trigger Source- Trigger Set Trigger Level- 1 Set Projectile Offset- 30cm

5. Mount on a solid tripod or suitable mount

6. Align the radar with your target, use a small diameter tube for more precise alignment

7. Press the ARM button. The light will change from blue to orange
Press the ARM button again to disarm the radar.

8. Position your muzzle in the proper location NO MUZZLE BRAKE - Even with side of radar
*always position your muzzle so the muzzle blast will not directly impact the Labradar

9. 90 DEGREE MUZZLE BRAKE - In front of radar (Approx. 25cm)
*always position your muzzle so the muzzle blast will not directly impact the Labradar

10. ANGLED MUZZLE BRAKE - Even with or slightly behind side of radar
*always position your muzzle so the muzzle blast will not directly impact the Labradar

11. SUPPRESSED - Even with or slightly behind side of radar
*always position your muzzle so the muzzle blast will not directly impact the Labradar

12. Large Caliber Weapons with heavy muzzle blast (338, 375, 50, etc) Additional protection may be required to prevent damage to Labradar and to acquire accurate readings. A solid barrier should be used.

13. RIMFIRE muzzle location
Place LabRadar approximately 10 cm in front and 10 cm to the side of the muzzle

14. Air Gun - muzzle location

Position the microphone in front and to the side of the muzzle so it can detect some of the muzzle blast

15. To change from the Armed mode to the Review mode press and hold the Arm button 3 seconds You must be in the Review mode To start a new series, Access the Parameters menu, Review previous shots

16. Indoor Ranges - Make sure your indoor range is greater than 15m long and 10m wide. LabRadar may not work on smaller ranges
Targets - Do not use metal targets. They may reflect the radar and provide poor results.

17. Troubleshooting Unable to acquire projectile message: Cause Solution
LabRadar shaking from muzzle blast Stabilize radar, move farther from muzzle blast
Improper alignment Re-align, use small sighting tube
Excessive muzzle gases in front of radar Move radar farther away from barrel
Select Velocity Range set incorrectly Change to proper velocity setting
Does not trigger:
Trigger Level too high Set to Trigger Level 1
Muzzle too far from LabRadar Move muzzle closer to radar
Blue light flashes:
SD card incompatible Perform a full format of the card
SD card lock engaged Slide lock to unlocked position
LabRadar turns off or restarts
Excessive radar reflection from downrange Remove reflective objects from downrange
Excessive muzzle blast causing brief power loss Move LabRadar away from direct muzzle blast
