3. Objectives
Collect and analyse current information on national, European and global strategies for RTD on logistics, SDCM and specifically including air, land and sea cargo intermodal transportation.
Identify future research needs in above areas.
Identify and demonstrate the potential of some promising innovative intermodal transport concepts
Design conceptual road maps for the implementation of selected new logistics concepts.

4. Activities LOGICAT Steering Committees:
Six Steering Committee
Representatives of Member States and independant industrial organisations.
LOGICAT workshops and Ad-Hoc working groups:
Six on-site workshops (Paris, Wien, Goteborg, Duisburg, London, Oporto).
To develop close links with the Member States and to disseminate LOGICAT work at the national level.

Implementations of the recommendations stated in the LOGICAT work, on the basis of what the Member States and the other transport actors expressed all along the project.
