6. Hardware CPU: Central Processing Unit (brain)
RAM: Random Access Memory. Stores programs that are being executed. Limited in size. Does not retain its content when turned off.
Hard Disk: Large permanent storage area
Input/Output: keyboard, mouse
Display: Screen, monitor

7. Software
Operating System: provides environment in which program run at the same time. Bridge between software and hardware.
Applications: programs that run inside the operating system.
