Captain Jaggery was acting innocent and loyal as a first impression.

4. “Nice and Proper”
Captain Jaggery was acting so called “nice” as a first impression to Charlotte and Mr. Grummage.

5. Cruelty
After the first impressions before everybody got on the ship Captain Jaggery’s personality changed in about of the middle of the story or a few chapters into the book, he started getting mean and nasty toward others in the crew leading to a boiling point.

6. Nasty & Mean Examples
For example Capt. Jaggery was being very mean toward Charlotte and the crew including Mr. Hollybrass, Zachariah, Cranick, and the rest of the crew.

7. Conclusion
This concludes that some people can be so called “two faced” and deceive others.
