Weightlifting Women’s barbell 15kg Men’s barbell 20 kg Weight plates
The weight of the bar is a combination of the barbell, weight plates and iron plates. The same weight must be on each side of the barbell. The least number of plates will be used to make an overall weight at either end. Eg you would use one red weight plate rather than a yellow and green plate. 10kg 15kg 20kg 25kg Iron plates Notes for Teachers: Appropriate year levels and links to Australian Curriculum are in the notes section for each slide. Students can “make” models of the bars using a ruler and different coloured post it notes. Enjoy! Marg
