2. Introduction toSpook Fest
There is so much to do! Do you think you will even be able to decide where to go first? Spook Fest is a First Friday event created for our whole community to get excited about Halloween. Everybody who may not be able to get out on Halloween night can come down to the square for our big block party. We want to see big, smiling faces and everyone having fun! We used the recourses we have in our environment like Tyson, Little Debbie, Walmart, and even Sonic. We also thought the trees and leaves at the square would give off a cool, spooky effect to our event. How do we make it happen? We had to establish the idea, Establish the resources we needed for Spook Fest, and think about how it would benefit you.

4. Face Painting
Spook Fest will have a few volunteers that we have chosen to paint cute pictures on faces. We will use washable markers from Crayola, and draw this list of symbols: rainbow, pumpkin, ladybug, butterfly, cars, sun, spiders, dogs, cats, and all sports balls. (Ex. Football, soccer ball, volleyball). We will have signs to show that this is our Spook Fest “Face Painting” section, and two chairs for each of our five painters, one for the artist and one for our customer.

5. Pudding Eating Contest
During Spook Fest from 2:00-7:30 you can enter your name on a piece of paper for the Dirt Pudding Eating Contest. Who ever can eat the most pudding in one minute wins. We will draw five names out of our bucket. Those five will each sit in a chair, at a large table, and will begin to eat when the timer starts. The contest seems simple but you can’t use your hands, you must use your face. The names will be drawn at 5:30. Our eaters will be on stage at 6:00 to begin. We will have two people help set out pudding, three people as judges, and one person on the timer.

6. Pumpkin Patch
In our Pumpkin Patch we will have tiny pumpkins, and everyone can put stickers on their pumpkins. We will have ten lunchroom tables for people to sit at. Three people will make sure everyone is finding a pumpkin alright. Each person gets one set of ten stickers. The pumpkins will be near tables laying on top of hay.

7. Why These Events? Why This Theme?
We chose these events because according to harrisinteractive.com, Halloween is America’s 3rd favorite holiday. We feel that with these events everyone can have fun. Also, children love face painting to be able to show off their uniqueness. I feel that these events will want people to come to every First Friday event.

We chose these foods because people will expect to eat while they are there. We also tried to pick foods that children and adults will like.

9. Materials Needed Markers Stickers Tables Pumpkins Speakers A stage
We feel like these items will benefit our events because they bring our event together. People will want to hear music, and they will expect their to be tables to sit at. Pumpkins and stickers are required for our pumpkin patch. We thought that everybody would enjoy watching our randomly selected people eat the pudding, so we needed to have them elevated on a stage.

Its spooktacular!!!

11. What Will It Take?
First, Downtown Bentonville Inc. will need to approve our idea
Next, we will have to see if all of our vendors and our sponsor will sponsor us.
Then, we will have to set up the event
Finally, you can now enjoy Spook Fest.

14. Conclusion
At our First Friday event, we want to see everyone smiling and happy to be there. Please come out to Spook Fest so you can enjoy the fun and laughter of face painting, a pumpkin patch, and a pudding eating contest. Now that you see how we established the idea, found the resources we needed for our theme, and how it benefits you, you may never decide what to do first! We feel like this event has a great effect on our community and will boost our community’s spirits about Halloween.
