ADVANCED INFANTRY TRAINING BATTALION
0317 SCOUT SNIPER COURSE (SSC) Purpose: To provide Marines and other services with Scout Sniper training in preparation for duty as a Scout Sniper within a Scout Sniper platoon of an Infantry Battalion and Reconnaissance unit. Scope: Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of Scout Sniper field skills, marksmanship, and mission planning. Keys to Success: Adequate preparation by parent unit, land navigation, individual movement/stalking, exposure to unknown distance shooting, range estimation using mil dot reticle Mission: Develop infantry small unit leaders and provide advanced skills training through professional instructors in order to empower Marines for service throughout the Operating Forces. Commander’s Intent: Provide standards-based, challenging, realistic, and safe advanced skills training that enables Marines to prevail under the demands of combat and accomplish the mission with honor and professionalism. Scope: Marines are trained to observe and recognize human behaviors, patterns, and trends that are indicative of a threat and to act on that threat quickly and decisively through an improved, matured, decision-making process. Scope: To foster and develop a hunter mindset through the integration of enhanced observation, profiling, and tracking skills. A Marine receives training in day, night, and thermal optics, observation theory, profiling an anomaly, and tracking techniques. 0365 Infantry Small Unit Leader Course (ISULC)
0331 Advanced Machinegun Course (AMGC) Purpose: The purpose of this course is to develop an infantry NCO that trains and leads their unit, in accordance with his commander's intent, across the Range Of Military Operations (ROMO) with a bias for action that supports the Marine Corps maneuver warfare philosophy in a complex operating environment. Scope: This program of instruction is intended to develop the leadership, decision-making capability and proficiency of infantry NCOs. Keys to Success: Know 5 paragraph order format/outline and be apply it to decision making, know 03XX MOS well enough to effectively teach it to other MOS’s, high level of physical fitness Purpose: Train Marines with the knowledge and skills required to serve as a squad leader with a machine gun section. Scope: Course provided training in the 0331 core competencies, (0331-EMPL-2005/ 0331-EMPL-2011/ 0331-EMPL-2012/ 0300-MOBL-2001). Keys to Success: Course provided training in the 0331 core competencies, (0331-EMPL-2005/ 0331-EMPL-2011/ 0331-EMPL-2012/ 0300-MOBL-2001). 0341 Advanced Mortarman Course (AMC) Purpose: Train Marines with the knowledge and skills required to serve as a mortar squad/section leader, forward observer, and fire direction center chief. Scope: Course provides training in the 0341 core competencies (0300-FSPT, mm, mm, 0341-FDC, 0341-FO, 0341-WPNS). Keys to Success: Hands-on Cross-training with 60mm and 81mm Systems, FDC Familiarization, Passed a Gunner’s Exam within 30 days 0369 INFANTRY UNIT LEADERS COURSE (IULC) Purpose: To develop the technical skills requisite of a 0369 Infantry Platoon Sergeant or Section Leader within an infantry battalion and to improve the tactical decision-making and leadership of the student. Scope: Students are introduced to advanced concepts, new technology, tactics, techniques, and procedures through professional reading, classroom instruction, guided discussions, tactical decision games, sand table exercises and tactical exercises without troops, which are reinforced through field and field firing exercises. Keys to Success: Arrive with a high level of physical fitness, thorough read ahead of MCDP-1 (Warfighting) and MCDP 1-3 (Tactics), solid understanding METT-T analysis and orders process 0351 Advanced Assaultman Course (AAC) Purpose: Train Marines with the knowledge and skills required to serve as a squad leader with an assault section. Scope: Course provides training in the 0351 core competencies, (0351 APOB : 0351 DEMO : 0351 SMAW ). Keys to Success: Demolitions Review, Physical Fitness, Land Navigation 0311 Advanced Infantry Marine Course (AIMC) Purpose: Train Marines in the knowledge and skills required to serve as an infantry squad leader in an infantry rifle platoon. Scope: Course provided training in the 0311 core competencies, (0300 PAT : 0300 WPNS : 0300 FSPT : 0300 COMM : 0311 DEF : 0311 MOUT : 0311 PAT : 0311 OFF ) Keys to Success: Physical Preparation, Land Navigation Proficiency, Moving Under Sustainment Load. 0352 Advanced Anti-Tank Missleman (AATMC) Purpose: Train Marines with the knowledge and skills required to serve as a squad leader with an anti-armor section. Scope: Course provides training in the 0352 core competencies, (0352 Employ 1001, 2002, 2003, 0352 HAW 1003, 1006, 1010, 0352 LEAD 2001, MAW 1002, 1003, 1004).
