2 Women’s Health Services
HSE statutory service with two areas of work: Providing Sexual Health and Outreach services for women and Trans women in all areas of sex work. Care planning for Victims of Trafficking for sexual and labour exploitation and also forced criminal activity/sham marriages.

4 WHS Remit/Responsibilities
Sexual and reproductive health, Outreach and education, support services to all women and Trans women involved in the sex industry Provision of health information/ care in appropriate languages and Interpreter used especially on 1st visit Actively engage with women re. development skills, ‘moving on’ options and refer as appropriate Identification and referral of potential/suspected victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation

5 HSE AHTT Remit/Responsibilities
Receive referrals through National Referral Mechanism by HTICU- Gardai Statutory responsibility to care plan potential Vot’s Inform Vot’s of process and entitlements under the administrative arrangements Assess, implement and monitor care for victims of human trafficking for sexual exploitation, labour exploitation and criminal activity Devise a care plan with VOT including short and long term goals Liaise with all statutory and NGO services to ensure best possible outcomes and needs of VOT are met

6 Drop In/Clinical Services
Medical and Nursing support STI/cervical smear screening Viral blood testing/vaccinations incl. HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis Contraception, advice and TOP referral Needle exchange/safer drug use advice Referral for legal advice /exiting services On site or telephone translation services

Primarily aimed at homeless people but also low pay or undocumented people can access. 9 Get Your Facts Right You can get an STI the first time or any time you have sex You may not know if you have an STI You may not be able to tell if a partner has an STI You can catch an STI more than once You can have more than one STI at the same time Having an STI can increase your risk of getting another HIV can be complicated by the presence of another infection Males pass on infection more easily than females Many STIs are curable and others can be suppressed Treatment at STI clinics is free and confidential Anyone who is sexually active should have regular check-ups Condoms, used correctly, are the best known method of protection
