ValueType: Format the answer of the questions
Valid Options:
Text (Free Text) Makes searching difficult!
ValueList (Drop-down options)
Multilist (Drop-down with option to choose multiple answers)
Date (Formats to MM/DD/YYYY to input a date)
Currency
Helps optimize searching & reporting
Improves consistency of data
Saves time on Applicant and User input

ValueList: The list of answers to choose from on a given question
Separate multiple values with a comma
Should be clear and concise
Consider using ranges
Example: What is your minimum pay rate desired?
Values: $8 - 10, $11 – 13, $ , $

Log in to Admin portal
Click on Interview in the Main Menu (horizontal)
Click New Question

Select a Question Type.
Checkbox Answer (Select multiples if needed and free text box)
Checkbox (Select multiple answers if needed)
Option (Select one option from radio buttons)
Option Answer (Radio buttons and free text box)
Dropdown (Select one option from drop- down)
Date Time (Pre-formatted date and time)
Type in a Category if necessary
Groups similar questions together

16. Applicant Portal Configuration
Select the Related Config Choice
Grouped by EmployeeExtra and EmployeeInterview
Select newly added question
Populates the Question with the Choice Code and the Value List
Can edit the Question field to edit the verbiage of the question
Check the Required box if an Applicant cannot bypass question
Check Show On Web to make visible on portal
Check off branches on which question will show
Click Add

All applicant answers will now populate in the associated Employee> Interview or Employee > Extra fields!

19. Employee Searches
Can use standard values to improve searching and filtering
Example: Advanced Search for employees willing to travel often.

If free text, could have answers such as Y, Yes, Often, A lot, etc.
Specific values = Exact and accurate results!
