Welcome, reflection, prayer HOPE & ASPIRATION
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope ( Romans 15.13) For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope ( Jeremiah 29.11)

A prayer of hope God of hope, We look to you to inspire and empower us As we teach and learn how to face the future As we repent, forgive and reconcile. Grant us the strength we need to embody hope in our schools, filling our reservoirs with your living water May bad experiences and behaviour never have the last word And may you continually help us to see our future through your eyes Amen

Theological and pedagogical underpinning
The worth of each child impels us to work to fulfil their God-given potential Special consideration to those who are disadvantaged Each is to be encouraged to stretch themselves intellectually, morally, spiritually and to aspire to be well educated Not just about one’s own fulfillment but seeing how this is linked to the flourishing of families and communities Hope in God’s future and the kind of society and world we are seeking to create Jesus and his life and ministry offers hope to all

• Church school designation and Trust Deed remain unchanged Land ownership Maintenance and growth of Christian distinctiveness Approving Foundation representation at all levels – member/director/governor Diocese is held accountable by RSC Legal documents are signed and sealed by Diocese Written conditional consent required

• Key principles, working arrangements, protocols – will always speak to Diocese first • Recognises responsibility of Diocese to their church schools & wider contribution within educational system • Relies of both parties having consistency & transparency in decision making • Protocol for schools converting to academy status • Protocol for sponsored & underperforming academies including rebrokering, coasting
