2 1 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. (Genesis 12:1)

3 2 “I will make you into a great nation,     and I will bless you; I will make your name great,     and you will be a blessing. (Genesis 12:2)

4 3 I will bless those who bless you,     and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth     will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3)

5 4 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him

6 5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there. (Genesis 12:5)

7 6 Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. (Genesis 12:6)

8 7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him. (Genesis 12:7)

9 8 From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. (Genesis 12:8)

10 Five Requirements for Learning to Walk by Faith:
Learn to listen to God

11 2 Joshua said to all the people, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Long ago your forefathers, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the River and worshiped other gods. (Joshua 24:2)

12 1 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” (Gen 15:1)

16 Meditate upon the Word of God, apply the truth to my life and observe the results.
Make a deliberate time to be quiet and listen to God.

17 Make notes in the Bible of what God says to you with the date (building an altar).
Learn to discipline yourself to hear the inner voice of the Holy Spirit.

18 Anticipate and expect God to reveal His will to you.

19 Learn to obey God Every act of obedience will build your faith.

20 Learn to wait on God 10 “Be still, and know that I am God (Ps 46:10).

21 4 Since ancient times no one has heard,
4 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. (Isa 64:4)

22 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take. heart and wait for the LORD

23 Learn to acknowledge your faith failures to God, repent, and learn from them
