Particle Emissions From Plant Production Updated October 2007 by Torsten Hinz and Klaas W. Van der Hoek

2 Particle Emissions From Plant Production
This is an update of the actual version presented 2006 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Depending on not really clear responsibilities after the meeting in Thessaloniki 2006 we did not change the general design of the chapter. Depending on only little and particular input from outside alterations are minor but relevant concerning emission factors.

3 Particle Emissions From Plant Production
This chapter deals with primary particle emissions from arable farming, storage and handling products while producing food and non food plants and fruits. Emissions caused by wind erosion and pollens are not considered.

4 PM sources in arable production

5 Considered work steps

6 PM10-potential in crop harvesting

7 Particle Emission Factors from soil operations

8 Final remarks Although there is still a lack of data we suggest to finalize this chapter. We will do it with an extended paper to be published in 2008. We have to keep in mind a high political sensibility for PM emissions from agriculture as mentioned on different international meetings. - Actions are demanded
