1 Turn-key LED Conversion
Rosemead, CA Turn-key LED Conversion Thank you for taking the time to allow me to present to you today. Intro – Alex Wurzel

2 History of LED Streetlights in Southern California…..
SCE Opens the Doors Queue opened in 2014 Closed August 15, 2015 You have paid the $10,000 to enter the queue Deadline Approaching – October 13, 2016 Nearly 50 cities in the Queue Including neighbors in Monterey Park, Covina, La Puente, Temple City and many others

3 Why LED’S? Light quality Public Safety SAVINGS
Dark Sky Compliant – Full cut off fixture Control over distribution patterns CRI – Color Rendering Index Public Safety SAVINGS Dark skies – light out of the sky for environmental and observatory reasons. No bulbs, only on the ground Focusing lenses Improved CRI rating. Allow you to see better. Instead of trying to see through orange light, it’s a natural moonlight. Better sighting of colors and pedestrians. Noted improvement in public safety when using LED. Studies

4 200watt HPS

5 Wattage dropped almost 65%
See greens, red in curbs, clear yellow lines 87watt

6 Color Temperature LED got a bad rap early on. They were at 8000 and made people say “why are they so bright”. Blue nature of the light was due to that operating color temperature. Street lights have come down to the 3/4k range which creates that softer more natural moonlight
