4. Insulation Insulations are materials that stop heat transfer.
A good insulator stops all 3 types of heat transfer.

Convection- transfer of heat in a fluid (gas or liquid) due to a difference in densities. Hot fluids are lighter and rise. Cold fluids are more dense and sink.
