14 Disinvestment to Higher Education Impacts Institution’s Capacity
Illinois State University cut its budget by $1.021 million between FY2015 and FY2016. Chicago State University laid off 400 non-faculty positions (40 percent of their workforce). Western Illinois University laid off 145 non-faculty positions. University of Illinois eliminated 484 non-instructional staff positons.
