1 Learning Technologies 2017
Welcome to BfC! Learning Technologies 2017

2 What is BfC? Brightspace is the set of online learning tools used at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As of this fall, BFC or Brightspace for Classroom course shells were automatically created for all Sask Polytech courses, whether they are fully online or face-to-face delivery. This includes all ABE, certificate, diploma, degree and apprenticeship programs. This excludes CAMP, WORK, COOP, FAID, and PRAC courses (which can created by sending an request to HelpDesk with the subject line as Attention: Lt Support). Becoming familiar with and using a BfC course shell is a great way to increase accessibility for students.

3 What can I do with a BfC shell?
Instructors are now free to use the many Brightspace blended learning tools to enhance their face-to-face teaching, develop and manage curriculum materials, load course content and create backups. Welcome messages, contact information, news items, important dates  Add, edit and organize course content and post outlines/syllabus  Set up and deliver grades, rubrics, quizzes, assignment drop boxes and discussion moderation  Create activities, add resources, and utilize rich media such as video and net based services
