Purpose and Intended Outcome
The Harvard Training Portal is going live today: July 25, 2016 It is a university-wide system for Faculty, Students, Staff and Affiliates: you may hear from users before we do We want to give you enough information to respond to users, if they come to you Intended Outcome We need your help and support: Understand the benefits of a university-wide training system Understand expectations for go live Know where to direct users Share our commitment for continuous improvement

One single place to access and track all of your current and historical professional learning at Harvard. 90,000 active user accounts, University-wide 700 courses available (for starters) 4,000 managers will have access to assign training plans to their teams 500 PIs will monitor required training for 8,500 people using Harvard Labs 6,500 undergraduate students will take Title IX training in August One address for support:

Benefits University-wide and for all: faculty members, students, staff, and other persons of interest and affiliates. Easy access with the HarvardKey for 90,000 user accounts. Better user experience: intuitive browsing and course registration, automated notifications, one place for all training. Increased compliance with tracking and reporting for all regulatory and required training, university-wide. Improved talent management with manager access to assign training to their team. Improves onboarding. Reduce duplication: consolidate existing training systems, enable local training administration and integrate with other Harvard systems.

Expectations for go live
We expect a range of responses: Most users will be pleased Demand may exceed our immediate capacity We will prioritize requests and we will address them over time Ex: Title IX training for Students Laboratories required to take EH&S training may need more hand-holding EH&S is working closely with the labs We are committed to make all necessary changes and enhancements

We are committed to continue to make changes and enhance the system over the next year and going forward. Main point: our goal is to simplify and streamline where we can whilst maintaining (and elevating) user experience
