The Real Future tense is used to talk about what you:

3. Je + Infinitive + ai = Real Future Tense
The REALFUTURE Tense
Foundation
All you need is: Je
+ INFINITIVE + ai
You can think of it as a formula like you use in Maths:
Je + Infinitive + ai = Real Future Tense
Note that with ‘RE’ verbs, you must take off the ‘E’ from the infinitive before adding an ending.

4. The REAL FUTURE Tense What is an INFINITIVE?
An infinitive is a particular form of the verb (meaning To……… e.g. Jouer = To play)
An infinitive is the verb you will find in the dictionary
An infinitive must end in –ER, -IR or -RE

= To finish
= To sell

6. To the infinitive you add a special ending for ‘je’
JOUERAI
I will play Je
FINIRAI
I will finish Je
VENDRAI
I will sell

REAL Future sentences : 1
ADVERBS OF TIME
Say when you do something by starting your
sentences with one of the following adverbs of time :
Demain
Cet été
Le week-end prochain
Le vendredi soir
- Tomorrow
- This summer
- Next weekend
- On Friday night

So, let’s use some of the earlier examples together with an adverb of time & frequency to improve our Real Future sentences

Talk about somebody else (your sister, your friend, etc)

You will need to add these endings to the INFINITIVE :
(but remember to take off the E from RE verbs)
