1. Acceptable Use Policy (AUPs) and $40 Insurance Fee
DUE: Tues, Sept. 12th
Have AUP form signed and return to homeroom teacher along with $40 fee.
Chromebooks will start being distributed on Tues, Sept. 19th to freshmen students.

2. Insurance Policy
INSURANCE: $40 one-time accidental damage (you are not paying this again, this is just a reminder!)
Break it on purpose? Pay full price! ($200)
Chromebook returned the final week of school, or when transferring.
You get the same Chromebook back at the beginning of next year

3. Insurance Policy REPAIR COST
Accidents happen,
but most damages can be prevented.
BE CAREFUL.

4. ...Really Really Careful! These are sensitive devices.
Common issues involve screens, trackpads and keys.
Do not DRINK NEAR YOUR DEVICE.
Get a lock for your locker! Don’t leave it out in the gym, cafe, YMCA, or on the bus.

5. Chromebook Care The following tips should be followed:
Do not lean on the top of the Chromebook when it is closed.
Do not carry the Chromebook without proper protection (i.e. case, etc.)
Do not carry your chromebook in your backpack w/out a case.
Do not “bump” the Chromebook against lockers, walls, car doors, floors, etc. as it will eventually break the screen, keyboard, and/or internal device components.
Do not consume any foods and/or beverages on or near the Chromebook.

6. Reminder. This is a school computer.
Acceptable Use Policy
If it breaks in a major way it can be replaced - minor damage can be repaired.
If you break anything on purpose you will have to pay full cost!

7. Acceptable Use Policy
If you lose it or it is stolen, report it immediately to your House Principal.
Damages to devices or stolen devices are handled with parents, the school, and the police (when necessary).

8. Acceptable Use Policy
Students MUST use the devices and resources in appropriate ways
No inappropriate use will be tolerated
Students MUST keep them in working order and must comply with all trademark/copyright laws
No stickers, markings on the device, or decorating

9. Acceptable Use Policy
Student accounts will be managed and controlled by the technology department, synced to your device
Google Apps will be pre-installed, and students will not be able to add Apps/extensions without the permission of a teacher
