Examples of adjustable walkers
Examples of adjustable walkers. Left: A rollator walker that has hand brakes, a seat for resting, and a basket for carrying objects. Middle: This walker is a folding front-wheeled walker with a forearm platform attachment (see “Walkers” in the text for explanation of attachment). The rear legs of the walker have tennis balls placed over the rubber tips to decrease the friction and improve the ease of pushing. Right: This walker is a fixed frame standard walker. Many health-care facilities mark their walkers so that they can be readily identified as belonging to the facility.
